The Talon rig is a truly inspiring cinematic tool. It is a 3-D rig that gives you ultimate control over your shots. The Talon opens up a whole new world of possibilities. The Talon rig allows for movement anywhere within its volumetric space.
Why Use The Talon rig?
The Talon rig is at the cutting edge of suspended camera technology. With the real-time 3-D translation already provided by the Moto system, what you see is what you get moving from pre-viz to set. Also, like all the Spydercam rigs, the Talon is repeatable, ideal for visual effects shots, stunt shots, and hard to operate shots. The Talon can also be used as a camera support replacement, able to get dolly or crane style shots easily. This is ideal for shots on complicated or fragile sets where traditional tools don’t work.
Talon rigs with the Moto control system are a visual effects powerhouse. Moves go straight from Maya to the set. Spydercam’s Talon rig along with the Moto system is more repeatable and accurate than any other suspended 3-D system.
